OMG! Where do I start? I love Keala and her stubborn and persistent personality, as well as her character development throughout the story. Our heroine isn't a shrinking flower but a firestorm that will burn down the world to protect those she loves. I also love that the author doesn't make her characters "perfect" they are relatable and messy and she perfectly leads them through an engaging dance of conflict and challenges they need to overcome and grow.
And Darian? Oh boy, don't even get me started. Two words, Shadow Daddy. Need I say more? And while he sounds like he is straight up lickable, he also has his flaws that makes you want to root for his love story.
I definitely recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I can't wait to continue to read more about these characters and about any more amazing worlds and adventures this author decides to take us to!
Great hook right from the start. The story grabs you and really pulls you in but has a lot of different elements that can take away from the main story line. The characters are written very well and are relatable. Some minor concerns with telling and not showing in several places. The vivid imagery and sensory details draw the reader into the story and create a strong hook. Dragging the reader right back in chapter after chapter.
